Essential Assistant Terms & Conditions
All work carried out by Essential Assistant will be subject to the following terms and conditions:
General
- Responsibility of final proof reading of documents lies with the client and any errors notified within 48 hours of receipt, will be corrected free of charge. Any other corrections will be subject to a charge.
- Essential Assistant recommend any original documents to be sent via secure post.
- A signed contract is required before any work is undertaken. This indicates that the client accepts our terms and conditions.
- Essential Assistant will not be held liable or responsible for the end use of any documents or work carried out by us. We retain the right to reject work which we feel is illegal, immoral or objectionable.
- Contracts can be terminated with 30 days written notice by either party. We reserve the right to charge for any work carried out prior to cancellation.
- In the event of sickness or other short-term absence, where Essential Assistant are affected, we shall notify the client at the earliest opportunity to agree a plan of action.
- Although every effort will be made to ensure a continuous, reliable service, in the event of equipment failure Essential Assistant cannot be held liable for any loss of information.
Charges and payment
- All charges are to the nearest 15 minutes and charged on a monthly basis.
- Payment must be made by either cheque (made payable to Liz Fox), or bank transfer.
- Payment must be made in advance if signed to a retainer package.
- Payment is strictly 14 days from the date of invoice.
- A fee of £10 will be charged for any returned cheques.
- Failure to pay within 14 days will result in interest being charged (at a rate of 5%) per month on the outstanding balance.
- Any unused hours from a retainer package will not be rolled over to the following month.
- If clients original requirements change, we reserve the right to change our original quotation following suitable consultation with the client.
- A deposit of 30% may be requested before the commencement of work.
- Additional costs incurred such as telephone, faxing, stationery, postage etc will be invoiced separately to the client.
- If turnaround of work in 24 hours is requested, additional charges of 20% may be applied.
- All charges will be reviewed on the 1st April each year.
Confidentiality and data protection
- Confidentiality is guaranteed at all times.
- No information will be made available to any third party.
- All work will be kept on file for a period of 12 months, after this time the work will be deleted, unless specified otherwise.
